ROCHELLE FLORES
My Philosophy
I teach to share with students my passion for lifetime fitness and athletics. Being able to make physical activity enjoyable and educational to students is rewarding and fulfilling. Teaching students’ ways to have fun while being physically active is important because people who participate in lifetime physical activity tend to lead healthier and longer lives.
Being a positive role model as a physical education teacher is significant because it allows me to show my students the importance of lifelong fitness in addition to telling them about healthy life choices.
I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children as well.
I gain a great sense of satisfaction as I observe the growth which occurs throughout each lesson. As my students grow, I also believe it is important to grow my knowledge in the field and keep up with new and innovative trends in the profession. I find professional development to be of high importance concerning my ability to provide the best education to my students.
